This restaurant looks a bit like bard from 60ties. Rather nostalgic and old fashion. We are here to eat cheap and go.

Izakaya Naisu has nice, comfortable atmosphere of workers’ diner. Lots of physical workers and salary men come here to eat. We do not need to be posh there and we can use western cutlery too. It makes foreigner guest’s dining even easier.

Food is simple too, same like appearance of the restaurant.
Portions are big and food is very substantial, a bit greasy, like for hard working man. This is correct because customers are mostly men. As I have noticed I was the only woman in Naisu during 30 minutes of my lunch time.
I ordered omelette rice with sauce, potato croquette, cabbage salad and fried pieces of pork together with bowl or rice and white miso soup. It was tasty but a bit greasy and a bit too big portion for me.

My friend ordered pork cutlet on bed of friend noodles with sauce and mayonnaise on top, fried chopped onion and potato croquette, bowl of rice and miso soup too.

His dish was served very hot on special metal plate placed on wooden tray so he could enjoy hot food longer. Good idea.
He could not finish his meal too. It shows that we paid very little for really big lunch.

I think it is good to see this restaurant and try food there because it is typical, simple and filling kind of Japanese food which is liked by hard working people.
Naisu is very modest looking place, but I had good time there and did not leave place hungry or displeased.
In contrary, service was good and fast, waiter kind and food prepared with heart.
This is also important and besides I like simple places.
It is easy to feel comfortable there.
If you are really hungry and like meat grilled on charcoal, Naisu Izakaya is good place for you.
