There are some noren curtains and flower and lots of small things which make interior cosy. And this restaurant is cosy for sure.
Atmosphere is very pleasant, home like. Owners are older people whose son went to study to Milan. They are very friendly and like to talk with customers, especially foreigners who can speak Japanese. They talk with us and smile and were really friendly and so kind. It was one of most warm and hospitable couple I met during my stay in Tokyo. So no wonder that is was real pleasure to eat in this restaurant, in such a nice atmosphere.
I felt like in somewhere in countryside, where people are very kind and good hearted.

Sushi Restaurants in Tokyo | Kyowa– comments

Kyowa is good place for people who want to experience simple and good Japanese food, served in way which Japanese usually eat.
Here you will not find any pose or stuff for tourist.
This is maybe simple, but good place and now I understand why so many celebrities like to eat there.

In Tokyo, so modern and snobbish many times, it is not so easy to find authentic and old fashion “inaka” spirit what means simplicity, warm heart and easy going style.
This is what I liked.
