Sushi bar Mawaru Osushi Umi- outlook
Mawaru Osushi Umi is located in building made from concrete, so outlook is a bit severe. To make the look friendly there are many flags with nicely written in Japanese name of restaurant, green net as well as big sign board over entrance.
Another colourful accent is created by posters and photos of sushi.
There are also black boards with menu of the day written by hand.
Without these decorations it would be very severe, not too welcoming entrance.

Sushi bar in Tokyo, Kanda | Mawaru Osushi Umi- food and service.
It is lots of things to do when man sit behind the counter.
Together with my friend we ordered sushi set with miso soup. There were available two types of soup and we could choose which one we want in our set. We chose different. I wanted Ara (miso soup with bony part of a sea bream)…
…and my friend chose Iwanori (soup with a kind of laver, varech in french, and with dried gluten).
We chose different sushi sets as well.
Waiting for food, we made tea for ourselves. Self service is part of this restaurant custom.
I poured a little of green tea powder from small container in cup and add hot water from tap.
Tea is for free same like pickled ginger, shoga and other spices.
I pour some soy sauce on small plate to dip sushi in before I eat it.
After few minutes of waiting, chef placed wooden tray with sushi in front of me and plate of sushi for my friend. My sushi selection was called Higawari Nigiri(Sushi Lunch Set for today, Regular set in english).
My friend’s, Jou Nigiri Sushi Set(Super Sushi Set, in English).
Food was excellent. I had small problem with fish bones in my soup but that is ok. Miso soup is very healthy dish.
Sushi rice was well seasoned and all simply delicious. I have got all types of sushi toppings I like including tuna (maguro) and squid (ika)
My friend’s was more fancy. He got ice fish and squid fish which looked like alien species and oyster. It was really exquisite.
Sushi bar Mawaru Osushi Umi- Review
What I really like about sushi bars is…sushi. So this is most important factor how it tastes. Sushi in Mawaru Osushi Umi was good. I enjoyed eating and I could come back to this place for sure. Anytime. Because it was not expensive, portion was big and I liked my soup too. And my friends set too… So I can recommend this place.
